Her achievements as a child performer in America (which is known as Maureen O'Hara today) would certainly put her in the child-prodigy category. For a child with Irish origins, who was surrounded her by talented parents and family members was naturally gifted, it came as a natural. Maureen was born in Ranelagh which was a suburb in Dublin the capital of Ireland, on 17 August 1920. Marguerita FitzSimons was a gifted contralto.
